Description

G’day, our names are Graham and Bindi! We are impressive saltwater crocodiles. We were both rescued by Steve Irwin and the Australia Zoo Crew as a part of the East Coast Crocodile Management Program in the 1980s. We were well-known to locals as we would regularly visit their boat ramps.
Bindi: Steve Irwin loved me so much that he named his daughter after me! I have a lot of attitude and personality – maybe that had something to do with it. I kept Steve and the Zoo Crew on their toes, especially during nesting season. I am very light in colour and I’m absolutely adorable. I spend my days enjoying my pond and soaking up the sun’s rays with my gorgeous boyfriend, Graham.
Graham: I am a huge, male crocodile measuring 13 feet long and weighing over 350 kilograms! You can catch me in the Wildlife Warriors Show, helping the keepers educate people about our important existence. I am the only crocodile at Australia Zoo that has managed to bite the bosses!

Terms & Conditions

Most of the inclusions in your adoption pack are online, meaning that your adoption is not only helping one of our animals, but the environment too!
All animal adoptions are a single payment and last for 12 months from the date of purchase. You can choose to renew your adoption after this time and continue your support of our animals and wildlife conservation efforts.
If you would like to contribute more than the specified adoption amounts, you are more than welcome to do so! Please contact us by email or phone to find out more.

For Gold or Platinum adoptions, if you are unable to use the included guest passes you can opt to swap the guest passes for a plush toy animal.

Age, group size and animal restrictions apply; animal encounters are subject to the usual encounter terms and conditions for each animal. Due to health and safety restrictions, saltwater crocodiles are not available for guest encounters; another animal/species will be substituted.
Please note: While all of the animals available for adoption are usually on display at the Zoo and/or participate in encounters, adopting an animal does not guarantee the chance of seeing or meeting them if visiting the Zoo. Animal availability is subject to change; there may be times when animals may be temporarily off display due to unforeseen circumstances, such as veterinary check-ups or enclosure maintenance. If booking one of our amazing animal encounters to meet your adoptee, please advise staff of the animal you adopt at the time of booking.
Animal adoptions and associated elements are non-refundable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
