Description

Hi, my name is Daisy and I’m an adorable Asian small-clawed otter. I have a pretty little face without a whisker out of place! I have a big personality and an even bigger appetite so I eat one-third of my body weight every day. My favourite food is crayfish and snails, but I’ll eat anything from fish to rodents, I’m not fussy.
I share my home with my friend Percy, although, I am much more confident than he is! When we aren’t cuddling, sunbaking and grooming, I love to show off my impressive swimming abilities and play and wrestle with him in our home.
I love enrichment sessions with my keepers, they think I’m very clever and they test out my otter skills all the time. I’m as cute as a button and I have my keepers wrapped around my small-clawed finger!
I am here at Australia Zoo because I am an ambassador for my species. Sadly, small-clawed otters are considered vulnerable in the wild. I know you will fall in love with me and we can work together to educate people on how to protect my species to ensure our survival for generations to come.

Terms & Conditions

Most of the inclusions in your adoption pack are online, meaning that your adoption is not only helping one of our animals, but the environment too!
All animal adoptions are a single payment and last for 12 months from the date of purchase. You can choose to renew your adoption after this time and continue your support of our animals and wildlife conservation efforts.
If you would like to contribute more than the specified adoption amounts, you are more than welcome to do so! Please contact us by email or phone to find out more.

Age, group size and animal restrictions apply; animal encounters are subject to the usual encounter terms and conditions for each animal. Due to health and safety restrictions, saltwater crocodiles are not available for guest encounters; another animal/species will be substituted.
Please note: While all of the animals available for adoption are usually on display at the Zoo and/or participate in encounters, adopting an animal does not guarantee the chance of seeing or meeting them if visiting the Zoo. Animal availability is subject to change; there may be times when animals may be temporarily off display due to unforeseen circumstances, such as veterinary check-ups or enclosure maintenance. If booking one of our amazing animal encounters to meet your adoptee, please advise staff of the animal you adopt at the time of booking.
